Recipe for preparing Ash Gourd Curry with Curd

Ingredients required for preparing Ash Gourd Curry with Curd

Ash Gourd - 1 Cup
Salt - As much as required
Water - For boiling
Curd - 1 Cup


Oil - 1 Table Spoon
Mustard seeds 1 Tea Spoon
Split Black Gram 1 Tea Spoon
Dry Red chili - 1 Piece
Green chili - 1 Piece
Asafetida - 1 Tea Spoon

For Garnishing

Curry leaves and
Coriander Leaves

How to cook Ash Gourd Curry easily with Curd

1. First take water in a pan and add ash gourd and required amount of salt to it.
2. Then boil it for some time and let it to cool for a while.
3. After the cooked ash gourd cools, squeeze out all the water content from it and put in a bowl.
4. To this bowl add a cup of curd and mix it well.
5. Now take a pan and add a table spoon of oil to it and heat for some time.
6. After the oil heats, add mustard seeds, split black gram green chilies and little asafetida.
7. Finally you can transfer all these ingredients to the bowl in which ash gourd and curd is mixed.
8. Then blend all the ingredients together and garnish it with curry and coriander leaves.
9. Now you can serve this yummy ash gourd curd curry as a side dish for any varieties of foods.
It goes good for variety rices and also meals. 

You can also have it as a side dish for chapatti or Non.
