Ingredients needed for preparing Adhalakkaai Fry
Adhalakkaai (cleaned) – ¼ kg
Oil – 2 Table Spoons
Mustard Seeds– 1 Tea Spoon
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tea Spoon
Split Black Gram – 1 Tea Spoon
Onion – 1 Cup
Salt – To Taste
Chlli Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
Sambar Powder – 1 Table Spoon
Preparing Adhalakkaai Fry in South Style
First take a pan and add oil to it. Let the oil to heat for 2 or 3 minutes.
Then put the mustard seeds and let it to pop up. After the mustards seeds have popped up add the split black gram and cumin seeds.
Now let them to turn to golden brown shade and then add a cup of finely chopped onions to it.
Let the onions to fry until it completely losses its color and becomes transparent.
Then add the Adhalakkaai to it and sauté for few minutes.
After the dish losses all its water content, add salt, chilli powder and sambar powder to it. We have not added water to this dish. Only the water from the washed Adhalakkaai will be there in it.
Now further sauté it for 3 to 5 minutes and that’s done.
Finally hot healthy Adhalakkaai Fry is ready to be served.
