MOLAGA PODI - Recipe:
Molaga Podi is a traditional South-Indian dish prepared mainly red chillies as the main ingredient. This is a side dish that is used generally as a side dish for Idly, Dosas etc. This is a variety of spicy dish that can also be stored. So try your hands making this traditional South-Indian recipe!
Ingredients to prepare Molaga Podi
1. Channa Dal - 1 Cup
2. Urad Dal- 1 Cup
3. Red chillies- 8 to 10 in number
4. Sesame seeds- 2 Tbsp
5. Asafoetida- 1 pinch
6. Salt- As required to taste
Molaga Pudi Recipe (Preparation):
1. In a dry pan, fry Channa Dal, Urad Dal, Red Chillies, Sesame seeds separately.
2. First grind roasted Channa Dal and Urad Dal in a mixer grinder.
3.Then separately grind Red chillies and Sesame seeds.
4. Now mix all the ground ingredients.
5. Add salt and Asafoetida to this mixture and grind it again .
Thats it! Yummy molaga podi is ready to serve with hot idlis and dosas. For extra taste you can edible vegetable oil and eat!
