First put almonds in water and boil it for few minutes. This

Then grind it in a mixer and make it as a fine paste.
Now take a cooker pan and add a cup of washed rice and half
a cup of split green gram to it.
In this pour 3 cups of water and cook for just one whistle
in high flame and five minutes in low flame.
After the rice and moong
dal/ split green gram gets cooked add a spoon ghee, ½ cup of milk and
also add the almond paste to it.
Let it get thickened. Keep stirring until that.
Then in a separate vessel put jiggery and add enough water
with it (3 Cups). Make it into a thin liquid side by side while the rice gets
boiled.
Now add this jaggery liquid into this cooker pan and blend
them both together.
Finally allow it to thicken by occasional stirring. And then
transfer it to serving bowl and sprinkle a pinch of saffron and pour a spoon of
ghee above it.
That’s all, our Almond pongal is ready to serve now.
