Ingredients required for preparing Tamil Nadu Style Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram Recipe

Mustard Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Split Black Gram (Urad Dal) - 1 Teaspoon
Split Bengal Gram - 1 Teaspoon
Onion - 1 Big (Finely Chopped)
Green Chilly - 2 Nos. (Finely Chopped)
Curry Leaves - 1 Stem (Finely Chopped)
Coriander Leaves - Small Bunch (Finely Chopped)
Oil - 2 Tablespoons
Idly/Dosa Batter - 1 Cup
Egg - 2 Nos.
Salt - To Taste

Bowl - To mix batter
Laddle -  - To mix/ pour batter
Cutter Board - To cut ingredients
Pan - For Frying ingredients

How to Prepare Tamil Nadu Style Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram?

First let us see how to fry the ingredients for Tamil Nadu Style Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram.

1. Heat a pan in medium flame and add two table spoons of oil to it.
2. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds in it.
3. After the mustard seeds crackles add split black gram and split bengal gram to it.
4. When both the grams turn to golden brown color add the finely chopped onion and green chillies to it.
5. Finally when the onion turns to translucent color add curry leaves and coriander leaves and give a stir before removing the pan from flame.

Now let us see how to prepare the Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaram mixture:

1. Take a bowl and add Idly/ Dosa batter to it.
2. To this mix two eggs and beat it well.
3. Now add the fried ingredients to this mixture and also add salt to it.
4. Then finally mix all the ingredients well with a laddle.

Finally let us see how to make Tamil Nadu Style Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram Recipe:

1. Switch on the flame in medium heat and put the Kuzhi Paniyaaram vessel on it.
2. Once the vessel is hot enough pour few drops of oil in every hole.
3. Now pour the Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram mixture in every hole.
4. Wait for the Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram to get cooked on one side.
5. Once it has got cooked on one side, one by one turn them to the other side using the Kuzhi Paniyaaram stick.
6. Again wait for few minutes so that it will get cooked on the other side.

Finally once the Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram is cooked on both sides, we can take it in a plate and serve hot. Any Chutnies or Thovayal will go well for side dish with this Tamil Nadu Style Muttai Kuzhi Paniyaaram Recipe.
