Ingredients required for preparing Split Bengal Gram Curry with Southern Spices
Mustard Seeds - 1 Pinch
Split Urad Dal - 1 Pinch
Dry Red Chilies - 2 Nos.
Onion - 1 Big
Tomato - 2 Big
Cumin (Jeeragam) seeds - 1 Tsp
Chili powder - 1 Tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Split Bengal Gram - 1 Cup
Any vegetable of your choice - 1 Cup
Split Bengal Gram Curry with Southern Spices cooking method
Heat oil in a cooker pan and add mustard seeds to it.
After mustard seeds pop up add urad dal, cumin seeds and dry red chilies.
Now add onion and keep frying for some time.
Wait until the onion turns to golden brown color.
Next add chilli powder and saute for few seconds.
Then put the sliced tomatoes to it and saute for some time.
Finally add Split Bengal Gram, Vegetable of your choice and required amount of salt.
Now close the cooker and let it to cook for a whistle in high flame and 5 minutes in low flame.
After shutting down the flame wait for 5 to 10 minutes open the cooker and serve Split Bengal Gram Curry that is prepared with southern spices along with rice or any tiffin varieties.
