Ingredients for Chicken Adai Flour Recipe
Urad Dal (Black Gram) – ½ Cup
Thoor Dal (Pigeon Pea/ Red Gram) – 1 Cup
Chana (Bengal Gram) – 1 Cup
Moong Dal (Split Green Gram) – 2 tbsp
Boiled Rice – 1 Hand Full
Raw Rice – 1 Cup
Small onion – 4 No
Scrambled Coconut – ½ cup
Ginger – 1 Piece
Curry Leaves – 10 No
Red Chili – 5 No
Green Chili – 2 No
Hing – A pinch
Salt – To Taste
Ingredients for Chicken Adai Recipe
Soak all the above said ingredients in water for some hours. Then grind all the ingredients in a grinder. Do not let the flour to batter for long time. If the flour is grinded for long time the fineness of the flour will kill the actual crispiness of the Chicken Adai.
Chicken Adai Flour - As made with above said Recipe
Pepper Powder – ½ Spoon
Ginger – Small Amount
Garlic – 10 Pieces
Chicken pieces – 250 gram
Turmeric Powder – ½ Spoon
Green Chili – 5 No
Onion – 4 No
Curd – Little quantity
Step by Step Procedure for Chicken Adai Recipe
Take the chicken pieces and wash it well. Then remove the skin and the bones from it. For the Chicken Adai recipe only the flesh must be used. Some of the shops provide the skinless and boneless chicken sold ready-made. Cut these into small pieces so that the Chicken Adai will give good result. To the small cut chicken pieces add salt, turmeric powder and little amount of curd. Now let it to soak for around half an hour.
Now take the Adai flour and bring it to the consistency so that you are able to spread it like a dosa in a pan. Add water to it if needed. Add finely chopped onion, ginger, garlic and green chilies to this Adai Flour. Now add the soaked chicken to this flour and beat the Chicken Adai flour so that it is mixed well to get a batter consistency.
Once the Chicken Adai flour is ready heat the dosa pan in medium flame and spread a scoop of flour and spread it. Once it is cooked well below, turn the Chicken Adai to the other side and fry it in a medium flame itself. Check if it is cooked well in the other side and now Chicken Adai is rady to be served hot. You can get chains of applause when served hot with any varieties of chutnies.
