First tip that is given for today is, how to preserve oil that is used for deep fries.

Now-a days, it is said that reusing of oil that is once used for deep fries must be avoided. This is because medical researchers have found that, oil once used will react with air and due to some chemical reactions that occur it will lose its healthy content. It is also said that using such oils again will cause cancer. You can reuse such oils if used with some precautionary steps.



First you have to let the used oil to cool for some time. Do not let it to be in open air for long while. Then filter it with a cotton cloth or fine filter. As the fried particles or granules deposit at the bottom of the oil, we have to filter. Those deposited particle will be burn already. If we consume food that is burnt or crossed its frying state, it is not good for our health. This is the major thing that causes cancer if we reuse same oil repeatedly. But if you finely filter all the ingredients, you can make use of that oil for one or two more times. Do not make use of it for deep frying again and again. Instead you can use it for pouring in other dishes.

Another thing is, you have to preserve such filtered oil in an air tight container until you make use of it for the second time. Usually all the ingredients and groceries in kitchen must be kept in a closed container only. This is because, being a kitchen we will have eatables in it. There are various insects and homely animals like rat, cat or even pet dogs that will roam around kitchen now and then. To avoid any infections due to such insects or animals, you must be very careful that all the kitchen ingredients are kept closed always.

Secrets for maintaining vessels away from infection

Also it is good to keep all the vessels that you use in inverted position. This is because, there is a chance for insects or other animal infections to deposit in a open vessel that is kept straight. Some insects may even fall into such open vessels. If your vessel has lids, then dry it well after washing and later keep it closed without fail. A vessel without lid must be kept inverted for safer use.

How to preserve the dry flours away from insects like worms or bugs in it.

Usually, you will have to buy flours in kgs and use only a little. Once you open a dry flour packet like Wheat Maida or Atta, there is chance for infectious insects like worms or bugs to affect it.
To avoid it, transfer the contents of those flours to a air tight container. Or you can even keep it in that packet itself. But in that case, you must seal it well with a clip or rubber band. Then you can preserve this flour that is in an air tight container by keeping it in refrigerator.
This flour will last until 6 to 7 months without getting infected. See that no moisture or water content enters the container.
