Ingredients Required for Lotus Pulka/ Lotus Seeds Curry
Lotus Seeds – 1 Cup
Onion – 2 Big
Tomato – 2 Big
Ginger – 2 Inches piece
Garlic – 10 Pieces
Coriander powder – 1 Tbsp
Chili Powder – 1 Tbsp
Green Chillies – 2 pieces
Cashew nut – 1/2 Cup
Salt to Taste
Oil – 2 Tbsp
Lotus Pulka Preparation Procedure/ Lotus Seeds Curry
Take an empty pan and heat it. In that hot pan add the lotus seeds and sauté them for few minutes.
After it fries for some time, let it to cool by keeping it aside and proceed with other steps.
Now take a pan and add oil to it. Heat the oil and add onion to it. After adding onion keep frying it by stirring it occasionally until it turns to golden brown color.
Then add the ginger paste to it and mix it well with the onion and cook for a while.
Afterwards add the garlic to this pan and further sauté it for some time.
Next add the Green Chillies, Coriander powder and Chili powder to it and mix well.
Now you can also add the tomato and salt to it and sauté it continuously for about 5 minutes till the tomato completely blends.
Then to this pan you can now add the lotus seeds and the cashew nut paste. Finally cook for about 3 to 5 minutes.
For preparing the cashew Nut paste, first you should split the cashews and soak them in clear water. After 5 to 10 minutes wash it well and put it in a mixer jar and grind it. Adding this Cashew Nut paste to the Lotus Pulka will give richness to the dish.
Now healthy and tasty Lotus Pulka is ready to serve.
