Ingredients needed for preparing Shahi Tukda:
Bread slice=5 Pieces
Milkmaid=50ml
Milk=250ml
Cashew nut powder=25g
Saffron powder=1 pinch
Cardamom powder=5g
Ghee=25ml
Ingredients required for garnishing Shahi Tukda:
Almond (Thinly Sliced) - 1 Tea Spoon
Pista (Thinly Sliced) - 1 Tea Spoon
Cashew (finely Chopped) – 1 Tea Spoon
Shahi Tukda preparation procedure:
Take a pan and add ghee to it. Heat it in medium flame and let it to melt.
After the ghee melts put the bread which is already cut into the shape that you wish.
Now let the bread to deep fry to golden brown color on both sides.
After that place these bread slices aside and cook the topping paste.
Now take a vessel and boil the milk until it thickens and becomes half the quantity.
To this boiled milk, add the milkmaid, cashew nut powder, cardamom powder and a pinch of saffron powder and blend it well.
Then arrange the bread slices and pour the topping paste over it.
And finally garnish it with thinly sliced Cashew Nuts, Almond/ Badam and Pista.
There is no need of adding sugar or any other sweetener as the milkmaid itself has enough sweetness in it. You can serve it hot or even refrigerate it and serve as a cool dish. Kids will love to have this Shahi Tukda when it is chill.
