Ginger & Garlic Paste – 1 Table Spoon
Mustard Seeds – 1 Tea Spoon
Chicken – 300 Gram
Tomato – 2 (Hybrid Variety)
Onion (Finely Chopped) – 2 Big
Pepper Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
Oil – As much as Required
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
Curry Leaves – Little
Salt – To Taste
Green Chilies – 2 Pieces
Coriander Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
Cardamom – 3 Pieces
Cinnamon – 2 Inch Stick
Ani Seeds – 1 Tea Spoon
Fennel Seeds – 1 Tea Spoon
Tamil Nadu’s Traditional Chicken Masala Preparation Procedure
Take a pan and add some oil to it. Now heat the oil and add mustard seeds in it.
After the mustard seeds pop up, add the cinnamon, cardamom, ani seeds and fennel seeds one by one.
Once all the above ingredients fry, add the sliced onion to it and let it to fry until it turns to glassy transparent shade.
To this add the green chilies that have been slit length wise. Along with this, add a spoon of ginger and garlic paste.
Then add the sliced tomatoes and sauté until it cooks completely.
Next add the diced and washed chicken with this and sauté for a while.
With this you can now add required amount of salt, turmeric powder, Coriander powder and pepper powder and then finally sauté for some time and the Tamil Nadu’s Traditional Chicken Curry is now ready.
You can now transfer this to a serving bowl and add coriander and curry leaves for garnishing.
