Badam – 50 gram
Onion – 1 Normal size
Celery / Sivari Keerai – a Small bunch
Basil leaves / Omam Ilai – a small bunch
Vegetable Stock – ½ litre
Milk – 1 Cup
Pepper to taste
Salt as much as required
Badam Soup – South Style preparation procedure
Take a bowl of boiling water and soak the Badam pieces into it for about 10 to 15 minutes. After the badam soaks well remove the outer skin layer from it.
Now take a pan and add the Badam, Onion, Celery/ Sivari Keerai, Omam Ilai and Vegetable Stock to it. Then boil it until all the ingredients cooks well.
After boiling, shut off the flame and wait until all these ingredients cools down. Now transfer them into a mixer jar and grind them finely. After grinding it transfer it to the pan again and heat it up.
Finally transfer it to a serving bowl and add milk, salt and pepper as per your taste.
This South Style Badam Soup is very much healthy and a good dish to lower your hunger. Badam has rich protein content in it. It also has Iron Calcium and Magnesium content in it.
This south style Badam Soup is not only a rich appetizer but also a good medicinal starter as it has basil leaves and pepper in it. Celery helps in weight reduction, cures acidity, regulates nervous system and mends joint swelling and asthma.
